DownloadPlymouthFirst, INC sadly announces the passing of William Rudolf.
Bill was an early member of PlymouthFirst and as a Board member he was instrumental in lending his expertise in the formation of PlymouthFirst, and organization that advocates for increased citizen understanding regarding municipal public policy issues.
Bill, who passed away on May 19th was a vibrant source of Plymouth history in as much as his grandparents and parents resided in America’s Oldest Town for their entire lives. Having served on a variety of Plymouth boards and committees, he was considered a historical expert in the community he loved and called home.
After leading the renovation and opening of the Cordage Park Museum and reviving a unique part of Plymouth history, Bill was named Curator, and his volunteer efforts are recognized on a plaque located in front of the main tower building. He always amenable to hosting the PlymouthFirst Board and Advisory Committee meetings at the museum conference room.
Bill will be remembered as the real gentlemen he was and his opinions were always held in high regard. The members of extend our sympathies to his immediate and extended families including 11 grandchildren and 6 great grand children.

It is a sad time when an organization must announce a passing of one of its members, but Dave Madden died on Monday November 4th, at the age of 64.
Dave was a member of PlymouthFirst from its first year and living at White Cliffs Country Club was very active in golf activities and social events.
Dave Madden’s family was 4th generation in Weymouth and he served the town for 23 years in the fire department, the last 6 as Fire Chief. He ran to be Weymouth’s first mayor in their new government structure and served two four year terms in that capacity. Dave was credited with transitioning the town from its often insulated government into a streamlined operation under one top executive and a responsive city council.
Dave’s experience and insight were a significant contribution to PlymouthFirst’s recently completed Public Safety Department Report on Plymouth services.
